A youth AIDS awareness initiative

Short Note:

It seems that things are getting really dusty. No choice, mugging is making mrchrispy very rusty.
There are so many things to update, but patience will make the posts worth the wait.

Last Saturday, a group of Nuffnangers were invited to a private movie screening by Open Your Heart.

Open Your Heart, as the name suggests, is an initiative thought up by a group of youth volunteers who see the need to raise the awareness of HIV/AIDS and its social implications through the creative use of a film and a photography exhibition.

The campaign hopes to reach out to youths to open their hearts to empathize with people living with HIV/AIDS and realise that the disease is more susceptible than we actually think it is.

The volunteers do not earn anything from the project and members have to source for funding or even fork out money from their own pockets.

It was only until Health Promotion Board came in and gave them a really nice sponsorship were they able to get the film and photo exhibition going.

The 30 minutes film, titled “August 29″, is about a girl who makes a surprise return to her ex-boyfriend James. What James did not know was she had contracted AIDS and was dying. James cried when he found out, but there wasn’t anything he could do except to walk her till the end of her life.

I only caught the final 10 minutes of the film because I WAS LATE (mrchrispy was acting diva-ish AGAIN).

You can, however, find out more about AIDS, watch the film and view the photo exhibition during Open Your Heart’s actual run of events this weekend at Orchard Cineleisure Foyer:

  • 28 March 2008, 5pm.
  • 30 March 2008, 2pm.
  • 30 March 2008, 3pm.

The cast and producers from the movie will make a guest appearance and you can probably steal a couple of condoms from them probably say hi and take a couple of pictures with them.

AIDS is for life. Be safe and not sorry.

I sleep better with Chipster

Short Note:

We interrupt your regular blog reading to bring you this entry in conjunction with Nuffnang’s first ever cross-border birthday party to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I wanna attend Nuffnang’s 1st anniversary birthday bash, I really do.

I want it so much that I even resort to vandalizing drawing graffiti on my school’s white board when nobody’s watching.

So eager that I even bought a huge bag worth of Chipster with me.

So enthusiastic that I even make Chipster my new pillow over my old ones.

Zzz… Zzz…

So ecstatic that I even improvise bought a Chipster alarm clock just in case I couldn’t wake up.

So hungry that I even let Chipster bite me instead of me munching on it.

Why? You might ask, do I think I should be on THE LIST?

Because I have a lot of questions. Questions that need answers.

Because I wanna ask Nicolekiss whether she’s interested to be my sugar mummy and share her fortune with me.

Because I wanna see how Kenny Sia terrorizes befriends all the girls at the party.

Because I wanna check out Cheeserland’s hot flowery lolita dress! *Drools*

Because I wanna take a peek at Timothy Tiah’s ohhh-sooo-delicious cleavage.

And because I wanna ask Boss Stewie the ultimate question, “Timmy, are you secretly dating Samantha?”.

Samantha: HUH?!

Or another question, “Timmy, who’s that babe whom you went shoe shopping with?”.

I’m “pretty sure” the top part was cropped away.

I wonder what his replies will be, but I’m certain he’ll be staring at me with those huge gory EYES!

Who’s your daddy?

Well most importantly, there will be many renowned bloggers from Singapore and Malaysia attending the event. It will be a great pleasure to meet & mingle with all 300 of them coming from both sides of the causeway.

Who knows? You might even get a chance to spank Ming’s ass, just like how Nadnut did it!

While Nuffnang decides whether to approve and send me the invitation, I’ll be playing with my masak masak (Toys) and snacking on my Chipster.

This is how you play with chips when you get a potato overdose.

They taste pretty good actually, yum!
